MEET THE DOULA CONSULTATION VISIT

This visit is a free, no-obligation visit for anyone interested in learning more about my services. This visit is an opportunity to meet the doula and ask any questions you may have about the service I offer. If you feel that I am not a good match for you, I can help you find another doula. My priority is for you to feel great about your doula in order to have the best experience as possible.

PRENATAL VISITS

My birth doula services include one or two prenatal visits (depending on the need) before the birth. The prenatal visits are an opportunity to discuss your birth wishes and ask questions. Each visit is about 1 - 1.5 hour long depending on how many questions you have.4

BIRTH SUPPORT

I will be on call for you 24/7 between 38-42 weeks gestational, providing continuous support through your labour and birth regardless of the length of your labour. I will stay with you 1-2 hours after your baby is born and provide breastfeeding support immediately after the birth, if you wish to breastfeed.

POSTPARTUM SUPPORT

The postpartum support includes one visit normally on the day after birth and another visit within the first 6 weeks. Special circumstances such as a difficult birth experience or breastfeeding challenges may require additional visits, which your I will gladly provide without extra charge. Each postpartum visit is 1-1.5 hour long.

BREASTFEEDING SUPPORT

Breastfeeding is one of your first interactions with your baby after giving birth. Having adequate support and encouragement through this amazing process is vitally important to help moms have greater success in breastfeeding. The breastfeeding support starts prenatally and continues into the postpartum period.

PHONE AND EMAIL SUPPORT

I am happy to provide email, text, phone call support in case you or your partner have any questions or need suggestions at any point in your pregnancy, labour or postpartum.

BACK-UP DOULA

I will be on call for you 24/7 between 38-42 gestational. This means that I will be no further than 2 hours away during that time and available to support you. However sometimes babies come early, and unforeseen circumstances can arise for your doula (family emergencies, illness, etc.). In such situations a back-up doula will be available to attend your birth, as needed, and provide you with care and support during your labour.
